Is Lip Augmentation Right for You?

We use fillers from the JUVÉDERM collection to provide lip augmentation that looks beautiful and moves naturally with your mouth. These treatments could be right for you if you're interested in any of the following improvements:

  • Plumping up lips that are naturally thin.
  • Restoring volume to lips that have thinned with age.
  • Adding definition to the edges of the lips.
  • Balancing the upper and lower lips.
  • Smoothing away vertical lines around the lips.

We also use dermal fillers for facial rejuvenation to smooth out wrinkles and smile lines, return fullness to the cheeks, and more. If your skin has lost its glow, you might consider microneedling or laser skin rejuvenation.

A Customized Procedure

During a private consultation, Dr. Taylor will talk with you about the changes you'd like to make to your lips and then determine which filler will best meet your needs. Options include:

  • JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® and Restylane® Silk provide subtle lip enhancement and smooths away vertical lip lines.
  • JUVÉDERM® provides more noticeable fullness and longer-lasting results than VOLBELLA or Silk.
  • JUVÉDERM VOLLURE® provides the most noticeable and longest lasting enhancement.

Choosing the right filler for your lip enhancement depends on your cosmetic goals. Do you want lots of fullness or just some subtle sculpting? Dr. Taylor has experience with all the fillers we offer so she will take the guesswork out of this decision.

Your Treatment

After cleansing and prepping your lips with a topical anesthetic, Dr. Taylor carefully injects the filler into your lips with a tiny needle. Our fillers contain numbing medicine, so discomfort is minimal. The entire treatment typically takes 15 to 30 minutes.

What to Expect

Lip injections can cause swelling and redness initially, but no downtime is required. You can return to your normal everyday activities right away and even apply lipstick or lip gloss before you leave our office.

You won't need to wait for your results; fillers give the lips instant fullness and definition. Depending on the filler, area treated, and individual factors, results may last 1 to 1.5 years.
